Weldtool stainless steel 17-4PH weld deposits are an age hardening stainless steel. This alloy resists scaling at elevated temperatures. The deposits take high polish which creates an anti-frictional surface. It is used in the petrochemical and aerospace industries. Also used as a mold steel in the plastic industry. Used for the welding of ASTM A564, 17-4 PH and 15-5 PH martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steels. The deposits have good resistance to stress corrosion cracking, especially in environments containing H2S. It can also be used in plastic injection molds.
