Weldtool tool steel type H-13 is a hot working tool steel alloy that is extremely tough. Displays excellent retention of hardness at elevated temperatures, yielding excellent abrasion resistance. Type H-13 has an as-welded hardness of 49–54 HRC. Highly resistant to heat checking when subjected to alternating heating and cooling cycles. Ideal for press forging dies, connecting rods, and crankshafts.
