Aluminum type 5356 is a 5% magnesium aluminum filler metal available in TiG and MiG form. The slight reduction in silicon is balanced by addition of Chrome, Magnesium, Manganese, and Titanium. Aluminum type 5356 contains the strongest corrosion resistance in aluminum types, ideal for applications in or near saltwater.
