Weldtool hardfacing alloy type D welding wire possesses the highest hardness of any iron base alloy; two layers are recommended. This super alloy has a highly refined grain structure which will resist virtually any abrasive materials. An ideal substitute for more expensive tungsten carbide on drilling tools, dredge cutter heads, tool joints, and other areas of high abrasion. Hardness: C: 2.1%, Mn: 0.3%, Si: 1.00%, Cr: 10.1%, Mo: 0.4%, B: 0.8%, Fe: Balance. Comparable to Stoody Type 134, McKay 263-0, and Lincoln Lincore 65.
